INTRODUCTION
Even though breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day, dinner was mine growing up.  We call it "sic fan" in Cantonese - which literally translates to "eat rice."  With some context, when we say "sic fan" its an indication for "time to eat" or "meal time."  In my youth, this was actually expressed at dinner time when everyone comes home from work, school, or other activities.  This has greatly accustomed me to value togetherness and the gathering around the table for a meal with friends and family.  I feel that as we age, these valuable "sic fan" moments become more scarce.  And as life grows busier and more demanding, cooking meals every day that are not only delicious, inspiring, and fresh becomes a great challenge.

I'm filled with excitement to welcome you to dine in (and "sic fan") with me as we cook meals together that are incredibly approachable and extraordinarily delicious.  Join me in this cookbook, "Dining In With Wil."

great cookbook--but digital vesrion needs optimization

After making many of Will's recipes via youtube and enjoying the results, I got tired of having to transcribe the recipes and just bought the digital book. Glad I did. The photography is gorgeous, and the recipes straightforward and delicious as always (I am branching out with more vegan options these days--thks for the inspiration!). But what I didn't like is the layout of the pdf--the photos and recipes are on separate pages making it harder to enjoy the reading experience, and if you "print" to 2 page format hoping for photo AND accompanying recipe, the phots and recipes are in the wrong order (I want the photo for the recipe on the left, recipe to the right, not different photos for different recipes), plus much of the page is wasted with large margins-- hence not optimal for smaller ipad. All this is easily fixable with a good pdf editor (delete a page to fix order, crop margins) and I love being able to add notes with an ipencil onto the pdf, but this is something you may want to do in house (and maybe protect your pdf so people can't extract pages and photos). thanks for a great book (content deserves a 5 but docked a mark for layout).

The quality and creativity is unmatched! I have no patience for a cookbook without photos and these are STUNNING. Wil is quite talented and it shines in every aspect of these books.
