Wow! This was my reaction when first opening my order of bowls & spoons sent to me here in Australia. They are absolutely divine in color, style & quality. They were very well packed & not a scratch on them.

Love these so much

I absolutely love the cooking show and was so excited when the bowls became available. They are beautiful- just the right size, shape and color and I find they are the only bowls I want to use, for everything from cereal to salad to soup.

beautiful but unstable glaze

UPDATED REVIEW after posting my initial review I received a very prompt email saying that the gray tone on the bowls is original to the finish...my mistake, I must suppose.He also generously offered me another bowl to better match the one I showed with the review. Very generous and completely unexpected, thank you. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought three of these lovely bowls and love all of them. unfortunately, when used in the microwave, they each developed a gray area across the dark glaze--from getting too hot? it does not affect their functionality, but I probably would have bought more if not for this.

I hope you're having a fantastic day! Thank you so much for supporting the cooking show and for taking the time out of your day to write a nice review, it means a lot! I took a look at the uploaded picture and the gray paint is actually the 'smokey gray accent' paint that's originally part of the bowl's design. The accent paint is done prior to the bowls being fired in the kiln and because it's done by hand, every bowl's smokey gray accent will be a bit different. In fact, the bowls I personally use at home have a lot of the gray accent paint - I love it!

Nonetheless, please rest asured that the accent paint is part of the bowl's unique design and the bowls should not have any trouble with the microwave. I sincerely hope that helps and I hope to cook together soon on YouTube :)
